Since May 2024, Murakawa Dental Clinic has been offering Blue Radical® sterilization therapy, an innovative, non-surgical treatment that eliminates bacteria without cutting the gums.

Developed by Professor Taro Kanno of Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry, this advanced medical device—Blue Radical P-01—has been officially approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for its effectiveness in sterilizing bacteria associated with periodontitis, gingivitis, and deep periodontal pockets.

Compared to traditional surgical procedures, Blue Radical® offers a minimally invasive, low-pain approach, enabling patients to receive effective treatment with greater comfort and shorter recovery time.

Blue Radical P-01: Certified Non-Surgical Sterilization System

Blue Radical therapy uses 3% hydrogen peroxide and 405 nm blue laser light to generate hydroxyl radicals that destroy bacteria within periodontal pockets.
This treatment can help patients maintain their natural teeth by controlling periodontal infection without surgery or tooth extraction.
